The Australian Institute of Architects celebrated their 2025 National Architecture Awards at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country, earlier this month. 

We congratulate all our clients and collaborators who have been recognised for their innovative work. We are proud to have contributed landscape architecture to three awarded projects: 

  • Northern Memorial Park Depot designed by Searle x Waldron Architecture – with OCULUS, OPS Engineers, Büro North, and Lucid – for The Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust was chosen for The Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture.  
  • TarraWarra Museum of Art: Eva and Marc Besen Centre designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects – with landscape architecture by OCULUS and Wurundjeri horticulturalist and artist Craig Murphy-Wandin – received a National Award for Public Architecture. 
  • Sydney Metro City Stations won The Walter Burley Griffin Award for Urban Design, OCULUS worked on Crows Nest Station alongside Woods Bagot and GHD.
