Turning Over A Redleaf

14 Aug 2025

Landcom and Orange City Council have released new images of Redleaf, previously known as Redmond Place, a new residential neighbourhood on Wiradjuri Country, in Orange, NSW.

The vision for Redleaf is sustainable living within an inclusive, safe, and well-connected community, nestled within parklands and tree lined streets. It is a place designed to foster opportunities for the community to grow together.

OCULUS – in collaboration with OzArk, Sala4D, Mecone, Balarinji, Colliers, GHD, and Cultural Capital – designed a masterplan centred around a blue-green corridor for recreational and ecological amenity.

Redleaf will increase and diversify housing options for a growing regional city, delivering a mix of housing types to provide people with greater choice and affordability, including 20 per cent of homes dedicated to affordable housing.

Orange Mayor, Tony Mileto said “Redleaf is more than just a housing development—it’s a commitment to the future of Orange. This project reflects our city’s values and is something our community should be proud of.”

Community consultation formed a key part of the process. The Masterplan Development Application to build 330 new homes is currently on public exhibition via Orange City Council’s DA portal. Pending approvals, construction is expected to commence in mid-2026.
