Redmond Place Master Plan – completed in collaboration with Landcom, Orange City Council, OzArk, Sala4D, Mecone, Balarinji, Colliers, GHD, and Atlas Economics – has won an award for ‘Improving Planning Processes’ at the 2024 NSW Awards for Planning Excellence, presented by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).

The award recognises improvements in practice that lead to enhanced development or community outcomes. “The project promotes a bold vision of providing a high-quality mix of housing types in a regional setting, both reflecting local preferences and strategic objectives. The master plan also displays leadership in promoting sustainable homes in a walkable community, far removed from the car-dependent archetype of suburban development in regional cities.”

Redmond Place is envisioned as a sustainable, inclusive, safe, and well-connected community, nestled within parklands and tree-lined streets.

The project will unlock 25 hectares of Council-owned land at Orange’s eastern entrance to deliver 300+ homes across a mix of housing types including single dwellings, duplexes, town houses, and residential flats – providing people with greater choice and affordability.
