Meet the maker: Claire Martin interviewed on the design for Seafarers Rest

OCULUS Associate Director Claire Martin recently sat down with developer Riverlee to discuss the landscape design of Seafarers Rest, a new park on Melbourne’s Yarra River/Birrarung that pays homage to the waterfront site’s rich maritime history.

Understanding and respecting the history of the original site and the vision of a sustainable future, our regeneration of the site focused on a less is more approach.

The project itself involves bringing a 3,500 square metre public park to the city of Melbourne, and crafting the landscapes for the city's first international hotel-branded residences.
