Jess Austin is an Associate Director and registered architect with nearly 20 years of international experience delivering award-winning architecture, urban design and public realm projects across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Leading OCULUS's architectural offering, Jess brings a design-led approach that complements the studio's established expertise in landscape architecture and urban design. His work is driven by a passion for civic and cultural projects that create lasting public benefit, where architecture and landscape are seamlessly integrated to enrich communities and shape memorable places.

Jess has led projects across every stage of delivery, from strategic master planning and concept design through to technical design and construction. His portfolio includes collaborations with internationally recognised practices – including DS+R, Grimshaw and Woods Bagot – on transformative projects such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) renovation in New York, the Tarrkarri – Centre for First Nations Cultures in Adelaide and Columbia Business School in New York.
