Virginia Overell
Landscape Architect
Virginia is a landscape architect at OCULUS Melbourne with a strong interest in design that performs both ecologically and therapeutically. She is passionate about the potential for public space to elicit joy and pleasure, particularly within a dense urban context.
Her background as an artist informs her landscape practice and drives her commitment to collaboration across disciplines to produce refined and considerate design outcomes. This is extended through her work as chair of the AILA Cultivate committee, which seeks to facilitate transdisciplinary conversations that interrogate the ethical and philosophical issues that underpin an expanded landscape practice.
