OCULUS – together with Greenshoot Consulting x Greenaway Architects and Collins and Turner Architects – has been selected by Infrastructure NSW to design Bank Street Park, a new one-hectare waterfront park surrounding the southern pylons of Anzac Bridge.

Located within the State Significant Blackwattle Bay Precinct, which includes the relocated Sydney Fish Markets, this project will provide 11,000 square metres of open space for the community.

The precinct’s waterfront promenade, traversing Bank Street Park, will complete Sydney’s 15-kilometre harbour foreshore walk from Rozelle to Woolloomooloo.

The Connecting with Country Framework for Tjerruing Blackwattle Bay prepared by  Bangawarra, sets out the relevance and importance of Connecting with Country throughout the governance and design of this precinct.

Community consultation has already shaped the design brief to ensure Bank Street Park reflects long-term community needs and aspirations. A preferred concept design is anticipated to be completed mid-2023.
